About Me!
Hi, I’m Julie R. Tonseth — a professional genetic genealogist helping people solve family mysteries through DNA. For over a decade, I’ve worked with clients across the United States to untangle complex family histories using genetic evidence, traditional research, and a healthy dose of curiosity.
Whether it’s a surprise sibling, an unknown parent, or a mystery grandparent, I specialize in helping people understand their DNA results—and what those results mean for their family story.
How I Got Started
My journey began in 2007, when I took one of the first commercially available DNA test kits with my son. That single test opened the door to a passion that’s only grown stronger.
In 2012, my mom asked for help researching both sides of our family. That request launched me into full-scale genealogical research, and eventually into a career helping others uncover the truth in their own trees.
